Sydney to Perth on the Train

Hi

Has anyone travelled from Sydney to perth on the Indian Pacific train in Gold class?
Love to hear what the journey is like and if there is plenty to see.

i travelled frm perth to sydney a few years ago - not sure what class it was but we got a tiny cabin with a double bunk - i took my two young sons with me (aged nine and eight months at the time) - it was a wonderful experience!

Thanks Kazasia, we travelled to Beijing by train and it was very dull with very much the same scenery all the way so didn't want to repeat the experience only for 3 days.
