Best luxury beach resorts in Asia

Would like recommendations for the best luxury beach resorts in Asia. Would prefer white, sandy beach, clear blue water and privacy. Something for a romantic get-away. Have enjoyed the Amanpuri in Phuket and the Amanpulo in the Philippines.

We love the Datai in Langkawi, nice and quiet, great food, lovely beach the basic rooms are fab so no need to go for the more expensive ones.

white sandy beaches, I have found, are tricky to come by in Asia. Not like Maldives or Seychelles... have not been to Langkawi tho...

Try Aleenta in Phuket. I think it is www.aleenta.com. We stayed in one of the 3 b/room beach front villas (the very last one #5) and it was stunning. Very private and even though it was right on the beach, we hardly saw a soul. Absolutely stunning.

I forgot the name of the place we stayed (reknown for it's diving) at a few years ago but Tioman Island has some very nice places

If you want white sandy beaches and crystal clear blue waters, my vote goes to Boracay in the Philippines. But if you want a romantic getaway, with privacy and luxury, suggest you check out Pangkor Laut http://www.pangkorlautresort.com/

Now that Australia is art of Asia, come to Aus where there are unlimited beaches tom choose from, though it is true, not many have silver sand. definitely don't bother with China.

i agree that the beaches in Australia are amazing but unfortunately the service and food standards don't measure up.

Evason Hideaway Ninh Van Bay in Vietnam. Only complaint was that the food was too international; not enough Vietnamese items on the menu.

Pangor Laut resort is located along Straits of Malacca, the water quality is bad. No clear blue water for sure. Datai or Andaman in Langkawi is a wonderful escape.
