CEBU hotels

Hi there...

... never been to the Philippines before and plan to visit in January, but which hotel is better out of these:

Maribago Bluewater, Hilton Cebu, Shangri-La's Mactan Island or Alegre Beach Resort?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have just come back from the Shangri La and had a fantastic time! Not too sure whether it's a place for people without children though.........

Shangri La Best, Maribago good if you like plantation style and golf, Hilton good value, never been to Alegre...

If you are in for a quiet holiday I can highly recommend the Alegre. It is a wonderful place - we stayed there for one week in late September.

We were there last march and we stayed at the Shangri-la, great service, friendly staff and good for kids, nice beach too.
