We hv stayed in Andaman few times,we like the beach there, shades under the trees facing the sea. Very good restaurant. My kids love the play station there too. In comparsion, Datai is less children friendly, kids are not allowed in certain area. Child policy: There has 2 swimming pools, one in the main building and the other at the beach. The pool at the main building is meant for adults. Children 16 years and below are only allowed to swim at the beach pool. Also children 12 and under are not allowed in the lobby lounge from 8pm onward. We are going to stay in Tanjung Rhu next week, all inclusive package, but there is quota of max. 10 children every day are allowed to accommdate in the resort.
can you elaborate your comment about tanjung rhu resort having a kids quota? we are going there next month with our toddler but have not heard anything about this quota?
Yes, it's true that Tanjung Rhu allow only 10 children ( below 12 yrs) per day. This was informed when I did the booking.
You will need to inform them on the exact # of adults and children.
Above 12 is considered an adult.
If children(below 12) accompany the parents, there is a restriction on the type of rooms.
Damai - 2 adults and no child (below 12)
Chahaya - 2 adults and 1 child (below 12)
Bayu - 2 adults and 2 children (below 12)
thanks for the information. we are going there with our toddler who will be 17 months old. i am not surprised by how many children are allowed in rooms based on its size as most hotels do impose such restrictions. i am however surprised by the 10 per day quota, will check with my agent about that as we are just about to book it - don't want to turn up there and be told we've got the 11th kid!
