ask help for market analysis job

I just transfer my job to market analysis but i am not very clear about how to process it and what kind of report i need to prepare. Is there anyone here that could give any advice to me?

by the way, i could use xcelsius but i would like to set up an access database for my data. and i have heard the SPSS, Port5 and other tools. is there anybody expert for these? Thank you so much!
