Hi, I nned to get a laptop to replace the one---a dell inspiron--- I have now. I am not happy with dell and would preder something slimmer but with very workable key pad; not fancy features are necessary but should have everyting useful. Could anyone suggest a brand/line and even a store? Thanks.
How about Toshiba, particularly the Satellite series. I'm sure you'll be able to find a good deal at Wanchai Computer Center (near MTR exit facing Hennesy).
I suggest to take a look at an IBM/Lenovo T60 or X60 if you want it small. They have 3 year international warranty. Depeends on your budget.
T60 about HKD13K+ - get a 1400x1024 screen.
X60 about HKD10K+ much smaller and lighter.
Anoterh place to look (but not on sundays) is 10+11/F Windsor house in Causeway bay.
I was really frosted when Dell told me that the keyboard on my Inspiron 8500 was not a replaceable part - I got a HP dv2000 - quite a bit lighter, good battery life and I am really pleased with the machine. I've had it for about a month now.
Agreed with Zerocred, better get a X-60 Core 2 Duo T-7220. Slim, Light, 3 Years International Warranty. Most of the company will get this model for their staffs for outdoor presentation use. Most of the computer shops sales staff highly recommanded. Durable, Pricewise, high performance in running the OS and software...
