I had a wisdom tooth extracted yesterday (by a lovely dentist btw) and asked his opinion as to how i could improve my chipped tooth smile. As well as discussing veneers, he also brought up the possibility of 'gum trimming'. I have never heard of trimming back the gums before, but now am interested.
has anyone had their gums done before? would love to hear of experiences and esp if there is major pain involved. cheers.
I have loads of busted teeth (ice hockey...) have a veneer on one of them - you can tell unless you look real close... seem to last about 6 or 7 years. No pain involved when I've had this done... they didnt even have to freeze.
Sorry Ed, i've just realized that my original post was missing the main point, in that i was looking for advice on gum trimming as opposed to veneers - serves me right for posting while at work! Cheers for your reply though :)
