Local driver's license

Does anyone know if I would be eligible to switch to a local license if i currently hold a U.S. and international driver's license? Or would i need to go through testing? And what are the costs? What is the local motor vehicle department website or contact number? Thanks!

Also to the above, about how long would the processing time take, and would I need to show proof of local status beyond a visit visa? Thanks mucho!

an international driving licence is valid enough for you to drive there...

kumguat,well you can try to visit www.lto.gov.ph, if that is not working then you try to browse through the goverment website. I think thats not hard to find, you can use your international license, jsut check it out to be sure.

currently holding HKG auto driving license, if I want to learn manual driving in the Phils, would I still go thru the procedures exams and all?

hmmm..i think not yet during the first time...just need to take a students license and you have to enroll through a driving school first then learn manual. After all you just want to learn the manual..
