Breaiking rental agreement

Hi,

Will it affect my chances of getting a work visa in Hong Kong in the future if i cannot negotiate a settlement with my landlord to finish my rental agreement early and he takes me to court for monies owed?

Generally, only a criminal record would impact your application for a work visa. The Landlord-tenant proceedings are civil proceedings, not criminal. Unless there is more to your dispute with yoru landlord than you are letting on. Good luck!

Thanks for that Grt stuff!!. Would that still be the case if I did not/could not pay a court order for the outstanding money?

No dispute, do not want to leave but unfortunately have things I need to go and sort out. Hopefully will be able to return in 6 months, hence wanting to ensure do not complicate things.

No. An outstanding court order would impact your application.
